You are formally invited to Mountain of Spirit's Fet Makaya Ceremony. Our Fet will be hosted on Sunday, December 28th at 8pm CST, here at our Botanica - located at 506-G Terry Parkway, Gretna LA, 70056.

Gran Bwa, which is the Spirit of the herbs, trees, and leaves in nature, allows us to utilize them to heal and treat anything that arises - allowing for our continued strength and resilience. Makaya means power and vitality; as without the trees, the Earth, and the mountains, how would the planet continue to sustain? It is with this knowing that we celebrate the Earth which we come from.

As nature represents the balance of good and bad, Fet Makaya shows reverence to nature and all that is. we will be offering a bath that holds the power in which we speak of.

This is a very strong bath that will remove any negative energy that you have accrued over this year, and place an energy of vitality and power to attract all the good things in life - but also prepare you for all that the upcoming year will present.

This is a Ceremony that is open to the community. You are welcome to bring a petition and an offering, or you may just come to celebrate while receiving the blessings of the Ceremony.

If you cannot attend the Ceremony in-person, you are still welcome to participate from afar. Your petition may be sent to our Botanica; for your offering, you have the option of either sending physical cash, or a digital friends & family payment. Please click the button below for more details.

To attend in-person, there is a dress code of Black and Red; you must dress modestly and respectfully. All women must cover their heads with a muchwa to enter.
